This home is really beautiful and in fabulous condition- it seems new! Outside, the landscaping is beautiful and the home owners are offering a pre paid lawn service for one year! The yard will be kept beautiful, as well! Inside, the ceilings are high and create spacious feeling rooms. The recessed lighting  and plenty of bright windows keep the house airy and bright! The home has a feel of elegance throughout in all the fixtures and finishes. The arched doorways are fantastic and spiral staircases and built in niches make the spaces even more beautiful! The hard wood floors are really rich and gorgeous. Something I love about this home is that the floor plan has a really open feel. The kitchen opens up to the living an breakfast area, which is really convenient. This home is on the market for $ 315,500. 1006 Kinney Austin, TX

This forties home caught my attention with its charm and potential! It sits in a prime location, right next to Zilker Park, with a large yard and so many features of character! The original wood floors look well maintained, and it has an adorable country kitchen with white cabinets. It also seems pretty spacious. The master bedroom looks huge! Lots of space to maybe even make an extra sitting room space! I love the way the front porch maintains its original charm, and so does the back! Outback, there is also a deck space that could be a great spot for entertaining in the sizable yard. There are plenty of of tall trees around it that would keep it cooler during the burning summers. The listing price of this home is $ 389,000. To find out more details about this property, enter 1006 Kinney in the home search on Austin Homes.

This lovely home is quite the charmer! The curb appeal got me instantly- it’s so cute and maintains a lost of the charm of an older home. Inside, the wood floors are really beautiful, and the moldings are really cool as well. I really like the kitchen….the see through cabinets add so much character to the room. There is a warm atmosphere in all these rooms, partly due to the large bright windows! I love all the light! Outside, there is a really spacious deck and backyard. I think it would be excellent for entertaining! This cute three bedroom home is listed for $ 425,000, though I’m not sure how quickly it will sell at that price. This adorable cottage takes me back into simpler days! There are so many great, original features about this home that all seem really well maintained, including the original hard wood floors, a fire place with a mosaic tile hearth, classic black and white bathroom tile, glass-front cabinets, a phone shelf, beautiful high ceilings and antique light fixtures! Wow! Everything I saw of this home was just precious….the fire place is so quaint, and the floors really look great. I really like the molding in this home…the windows just look really finished, but still retain the character of the time period. I think this house must have been freshly painted, because even the walls shine! The backyard is really great as well, and some how still holds that immense measure of character. This two bedroom cottage is listed for $ 399,900. To learn more about this home, search for 1802 Travis Heights in the home search on Austin Houses.

This is such a lovely home. Listed for $319,900, this home has three bedrooms. The finishes in this home are great! The floors are hard wood, and there are granite counter tops in the kitchen! I really like the fixtures in this home, as well. One of the ¨bonus¨spaces in this home is the up stairs loft. I really think this is a fun feature. There are also some great built-ins for storage throughout the home. I think the windows in the living room are really cute, and the high ceilings really give it a spacious feel. The seller of this home has offered many great options to a buyer. The gave a $5000 buyer incentive as well as the option to have wrought iron. At it’s listing price, I’m sure this one will go quick. To find out about this home, search for 8917 Old Lampasas Unit 26 in the home search at Austin Homes.

6023 Tasajillo Austin TX

Now this is a home that gives you room to breath. I am impressed by the incredibly spacious rooms that this house offers. The living spaces flow beautifully throughout the entire house. I particularly like how the kitchen opens into the living area. What a great feature for having people over! The windows also add to the openness of this home. All the rooms seem very bright and open. What I can see of the deck looks great. I’m sure a live viewing would only add to how great it looks in these photos. I can imagine a whole other out door living space in this great, private backyard. The front yard of this home is beautifully manicured and would stay that way since the HOA takes care of it. How nice! With such a great location and price of $ 310,000, I’m sure it won’t be on the market for long! One Big Reason You Should Invest In Real Estate, Not The Market

November 17th, 2009 No comments

I was reading an article today about the proposed financial reform and came across this statement.  I did not realize that stock brokers are not Fiduciaries like real estate agents are.  Which means they are NOT required to put the interest of their client first!

Money Magazine August 2009 – “The administration wants stockbrokers to be fiduciaries.  Translation: They’d be legally required to put your interest first. Thought that was already true? Nope. Today they’re generally required to only to sell something “suitable,” which gives them plenty of room to steer you toward investments that their firm is flogging or that pay better commissions.” “When you talk to your broker today, you are talking to a salesperson. Says Yale Economist Robert Shiller.”

This is a major difference in your relationship with your real estate agent.  We, as agents, are bound to represent our clients best interest in every way.  Unless you have an agent that is unethical and does not take his or her legal obligation seriously, you can rest easy in knowing that a licensed real estate agent is working for you!  Especially if you are working with a Cortiers Agent.  http://www.austintexasrealestatesearch.com/
